Country Finance Officer - Oxfam, Jakarta

Oxfam has worked for over 50 years in Indonesia and now focuses its efforts on empowering women, building the resilience of those living in poverty to shocks and disasters (including responding to emergencies), and improving the effectiveness and accountability of governance for those living in poverty and especially women.

Country Finance Officer (Temporary Maternity Cover)
Based in Jakarta with travel

As the Country Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the overall implementation of financial systems and control, such as: payment processes; upload financial data into system; and production of timely management information i.e monthly financial report. This includes training and briefings for all staff on procedures and ensuring that financial systems are adhered to by all levels of personnel and comply with Oxfam financial procedure both globally and locally. You will manage the security of cash, namely cash forecasting; transfer; transportation; and storage, including preparing cash forecast and submitting requests for top-ups. To provide support to partnership financial system and control, and support the effective management of OPAL system, ensuring the compliance and become the focal point to any OPAL matters.

You will need to demonstrate you have education to part-qualified level with proven accounting experience. Experience of supervisory responsibilities, well developed interpersonal, and team skills. Previous working experience in emergency relief programme would be desirable. If you don’t care about women’s empowerment, and don’t have strong commitment on diversity issues and equal opportunities, then this job is not for you!
