Organizational Context
With support from Royal Netherlands Embassy, in 2010 the Partnership will start a program, entitled Leveraging Education and Accountability Program in Indonesia (Lead Indonesia Program). The LEAD Indonesia Program is developed to meet the following objectives:
Establishing substantive democracy through political reform and education (Deepening Democracy).
Promoting and facilitating the institutionalization of integrity system and fulfillment of right to basic services (Public Service)
Consolidating and deepening the design and implementation of policies on decentralized governance. (Decentralisation)
Under this LEAD Indonesia Program, the Democratic Governance Cluster (DEG) will be responsible in the implementation and management of the objective 1. Three of the key components in objective 1 are (1) civic engagement and deepening democracy, (2) accelerating Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through good governance, and (3) enhancing women’s political leadership in the policy making process.
The three of the key components under Objective 1 of the LEAD Indonesia Program are also in line with three of the six main programmatic areas that are identified under the DEG strategic plan.
To ensure the successful management of the LEAD Indonesia Program, and to that the need for administrative, financial and clerical services are well prepared with effective & efficient manner, the Partnership intends to recruit 2 Project Assistants (PA) for the Deepening Democracy Project.
Under the guidance and supervision of the Program Officer, the Project Assistant will be responsible to provide administrative support to the program/projects team and she or he will be responsible to ensure effective implementation of program/project activities as per the agreed plan and budget by referring the recent Standard Operational Procedures on administrative and financial services of the Partnership for Governance Reform in Indonesia (PGRI). In executing the daily task the Project Assistant will also cooperate with staff of finance department of PGRI.
The Project Assistant must promote a client, quality and results- oriented approach in the Partnership.

- Preparation of projects implementation;
- Ensure quality of grantee / implementing partner financial and administrative compliance;
- Budgeting and Advance Settlement

Recruitment Qualifications
- Minimum of diploma in management/finance or other relevant field. Candidates with Bachelor’s degree are highly desired.
- Minimum of 2 years progressively in project administration and experience in organizing many events, especially with government, civil society organizations, and/or donor agencies. Having good communication and interpersonal skill. Ability to work in highly pressured environment. Having availability to carry out necessary travel assignment. Having knowledge and skill to operate financial software (SUN System, Quick Book, etc). Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc), advance knowledge of automated procurement systems, experience in handling of web based management systems.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
