Program Officer – YAPPIKA, Sulawesi - NTT & NTB

YAPPIKA - Civil Society Alliance for Democracy is a non-profit organization that has a vision of a democratic civil society and independent in fighting for their rights. The scope of work YAPPIKA include strengthening institutional capacity and the role of civil society organizations (CSOs), a national policy advocacy in the field of public service, CSO participation and freedom of association supported by research and development of CSO networks and engage in efforts to promote democratic local governance.

YAPPIKA work at the national level for policy advocacy work of CSOs and network management to support advocacy. While in the county / city, we are strengthening the capacity of CSOs in promoting local governance, democratic governance and institutional capacity building of CSOs. YAPPIKA work areas in 16 districts / cities in South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, NTB and NTT.
Currently we are looking for 3 (three) Program Officer to work in the following divisions: 
 
Capacity Development Division (1 person) 
 
Division of Advocacy, Research and Campaigns (2 people) 
Programme Officer Capacity Development Division (Code: CBU)The main scope of work will include among others: 
 
Manage programs of cooperation with CSOs in the work area YAPPIKA, including facilitating the needs of CSO partners. 
 
Division managers and teams together, formulate a strategy of capacity building needed by CSOs partners, and continually seek increased institutional capacity in accordance with a strategy designed. 
 
Doing development / expansion of these programs work as a general duty. 
 
Contribute to the development of YAPPIKA as a whole, in order to encourage democratization in Indonesia. 
 
Perform tasks in accordance with the managerial and administrative work areas, including managing the resources under his responsibility.
 
Qualifications: 
 
Graduated S1 and priority of the social sciences, politics, law, public administration and development studies. 
 
Have the managerial skills and good relations with CSOs at national and regional levels. 
 
Minimum 3 (three) years as program officer and have the knowledge and skills in the processes of institutional capacity building and advocacy / policy studies. 
 
Have the skills to facilitate / moderation meetings. 
 
Have the ability / writing skills, especially writing articles inspiration from developmental issues in the work area, reports and develop program proposals. 
 
Able to manage multiple work independently, as well as working in teams. 
 
Skilled at using computers, especially in the Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc..) 
 
Able to speak English very well. 
 
A good personality. 
 
Willing to work flexible schedules, as well as travel to work areas YAPPIKA.
 
Program Officer Division of Advocacy, Research & Campaigns (Code: ADV)The main scope of work will include among others: 
Manage programs of cooperation with partners at national and local levels, including facilitating / providing care for the needs of partners. 
 
Initiating and managing the research programs of action to support the needs of national policy advocacy and empowerment issues in the working area YAPPIKA. 
 
Formulate a strategy to increase network capacity required by the national labor and employment partner in the region in the realm of action research to change policy, and continually seek an increase in network capacity / partners in the region in accordance with a strategy designed. 
 
Doing development / expansion of these programs work as a general duty. 
 
Contribute to the development of YAPPIKA as a whole, in order to encourage democratization in Indonesia 
 
Perform administrative duties in accordance with the field work, including managing the resources under its responsibility 
 
Build a network of relationships with various civil society organizations, academics, journalists, as well as with policy makers at the national level.
Qualifications: 
Graduated S1 and priority of the social sciences, politics, law, public administration, development studies. 
 
Minimum 3 (three) in the work of national research and policy advocacy. 
 
Having good relationships with CSOs, particularly at the national level. 
 
Having the ability to build relationships and manage the network for policy advocacy. 
 
Have the ability / writing skills, especially writing articles results of research to support advocacy and public campaigns / media, reports and develop program proposals. 
 
Have adequate managerial skills. 
 
Able to manage multiple work independently, as well as working in teams. 
 
Skilled at using computers, especially in the Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc..). 
 
Able to speak English very well.
