Communications Specialist - Cardno, Jakarta

The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ) is an Australian Government, AusAID-funded program managed by Cardno Emerging Markets.

AIPJ is designed to assist the Government of Indonesia in its justice reform efforts for the next five years.

AIPJ requires a short term Communications Specialist to (i) develop a Communications Strategy and (ii) subsequently assist test, implement, review and improve the Strategy.

Selection criteria:

 

Degree in Communications, International Development, Law, Public Policy, Community Development or a related field.

 

At least 10 years experience, with demonstrated career progression, in working with traditional and new media platforms, in public relations or in corporate, NGO/civil society, or government communications.

 

Experience designing, testing and implementing communications strategies.

 

Experience working with international donor or development agencies.

 

Language skills: Fluent in Indonesian, high-level oral and written English language skills. Strong written and oral communications skills.

 

Experience in working in communications / communications strategies in the law and justice sector in Indonesia and with AusAID would be an advantage.

 

Knowledge of/and or coverage of development issues in Indonesia and in the Indonesian law and justice sector would be an advantage.

Remuneration

We anticipate that this position will be filled by an Indonesian national. As such, the position will be remunerated in line with Indonesian labour market rates.

The position will involve 15 days of inputs in 2011 and there may be an opportunity for up to 40 additional days of additional inputs over the next few years. Details of the timing of these inputs are included in the Terms of Reference.
