Wahana Visi Indonesia is a local humanitarian organization that implements most of World Vision programs in Indonesia. World Vision is one of the world’s largest international Christian humanitarian aid organizations. It has been working in Indonesia for more than 50 years and focusing on programming effort on health, education and economic development across transformational development, humanitarian emergency affairs and advocacy ministries.
Wahana Visi Indonesia is currently seeking the following positions :
Gender Specialist (code : Gender)
Location : Jakarta
Major Roles :
Providing overall leadership and technical support to World Vision Indonesia’s gender as cross-cutting and/or as project, ensuring projects and staff meets performance goals, and by increasing accountability and quality in a way that reflects World Vision’s core values, mission and strategic directions. The Gender Specialist will maintain and enhance the role and positioning of World Vision Indonesia in advocating and responding to Gender needs in Indonesia as related to WV Indonesia Strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Social Welfare/Science, Psychology, Human Rights or related field, preferably have at least a course on Gender, with at least 3 year experiences in humanitarian aid or advocacy works for in-country and international position
Literacy in global and national Gender issues
Previous experience in program or project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing
Excellent interpersonal, representational, networking skills and cross cultural
sensitivity.
