Tours and Visit Specialist (code : TVS) – Manado (Sulawesi Utara)
Requirements:
Requirements:
- Mature person and is above reproach in integrity and honesty
- Bachelor degree is required in hotel management/hospitality industry, Faculty of Letter,
- marketing, public relations or other communications field or demonstrated satisfactory experience in trip hosting
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, with excellent communications and interpersonal
- skills, especially across cultures and comfortable communicating in English in front of large groups
- Strong customer service mindset and understanding of the sponsor/donor communications
- needs—what moves them to deeper understanding of poverty and deeper commitment to advocacy and action on behalf of poor children
- Public relations experience or demonstrated aptitude for being front-line ambassador in the
- field. Demonstrates hospitality and care for others
- Solid understanding of and sensitivity toward poverty, the child and the significance of the
- sponsor-child relationship
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with ability to be flexible and
- respond to changing variables (weather, road conditions, visitor illness, etc), including high-stress situations
- Ability to make sound judgement with little supervision. Proven skills in negotiation
- Ability to travel on a regular basis (40-50%)
- Commit for non smoking, no drugs, no alcohol and no misconduct sex behavior
- Willing to be based in Manado
Field-Base Partnership Facilitator (code : FBPF) – Manado (Sulawesi Utara)

- Mature person and is above reproach in integrity and honesty
- Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference towards field-related Social Sciences, Christian Ministry or Management.
- A minimum of three years professional or intensive volunteer experience relevant to managing Christian ministry and/or other service activities.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills conducive to utilizing facilitation, collaboration and negotiation and establishing trusting relationships with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to work with only occasional supervision.
- Good leadership, general management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to reflect Compassion’s Leadership Principles.
- Customer service orientation.
- Ability and desire to learn new things.
- Good written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills.
- Committed to working with the broad spectrum of Evangelical denominations and churches.
- Ability to travel domestically and be away from home for up to two weeks at a time and no more than 100 nights in a year. Travel will vary downward depending on the location of church partners and whether or not the person is field-based.
