Field Officer & Assistant Field Officer - Yayasan Palung, Ketapang

Yayasan Palung, an orangutan and its habitat conservation organizations working in Ketapang and Kayong North, West Kalimantan opening career opportunities for 2 people to fill positions at the Environmental Education Center located in the village Pampang Hope, District Sukadana, North Kayong.

The position of Field Officer: 
- Is committed to saving the environment - Minimum 3 years in community development program at an institution that is active, like if it ever worked for the empowerment of rural communities around the forests- Able to plan, design and reporting community assistance programs, especially programs about the forest- Minimal computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel- Willing to be placed in the village- Liking the work in the field of education and increase community capacity- Able to co-operate, maintain, manage and motivate a work team- Having a strong willingness to learn new things, like the challenge, excited and motivated to go forward, and able to motivate themselves in difficult circumstances- Preferred if capable of driving two wheelers or four-wheel- Preferably, if able to speak english at least passive

Candidates are expected to be ready and able to mentally and physically to work outside the office building and the hours that follow the conditions in the field (examples of activities that require assist to run away and stay in the woods for several days). 

Together with other YP staff, are expected to work together and take the initiative to run the program with good organization and they are able (if necessary) representing the Yayasan Palung in meetings with government agencies, community leaders, teachers and pupils, etc..Assistant Field Officer is an entry-level positions (beginner). 

Field Officer in charge of Assistant Field Officer and in coordination with the Manager.
